Regional Landscape Rivierenland is a young regional landscape, established on July 3, 2008 in the southwest of the province of Antwerp. The scope comprises the municipalities of Niel, Tree, Rumst, Willebroek, Mechelen, Bonheiden, St. Catherine-Waver, Duffel, Lier, Putte, Heist-op-den-Berg, Berlaar and Nijlen.

As the name suggests, the striking landscape carriers in the scope of the run down of several major rivers, especially Dyle, Nete, Senne and Rupel. Next to the river valleys smaller stream valleys typify this landscape which chracter is formed by vast agricultural and horticultural landscapes, ancient forests, forts and various clay pits complexes.
